Sundays

The main service each Sunday throughout the year is at 10:30 in the morning.

The Sunday morning services follow various themes decided by the ministry team. The main hymn books used are Songs of Fellowship and Baptist Praise and Worship, though we now use a computer projector to display the words. The style of the service varies a little from week to week:

The first Sunday morning of each month is usually a family service - this is geared much more towards the children, who stay in the church for the whole time. On the other Sundays, the children and young people leave after about half an hour to go to the "Supernova" groups, rejoining the main congregation towards the end of the service.

Communion services take place during the morning service on the third Sunday. The children are included in the communion, welcomed as part of the church family, and go to their own activity after sharing the bread and wine. We have an open policy on communion - anybody who would normally take communion in their home church is welcome to participate with us.

On the fourth Sunday there is a "worship" slot at the beginning of the service - although of course our whole lives are an act of worship, we've not really found a better name for this time of joyful praise and contemplation, led by a member of the congregation. On these fourth Sundays we begin earlier than normal with coffee and doughnuts.

There is usually a creche available most Sundays.

We now record sermons onto MP3 format for those who were unable to attend on a particular Sunday. The recent sermons are downloadable here.
Note that these files are really quite large - expect significant download times on slow connections.
